About the Journal

Tobacco is a peer-reviewed, open access, online and print journal, published by the Scientific Tobacco Institute - Prilep. In 2010, on the occasion of its 60-year jubilee, Tobacco became an international journal. The journal is issued twice a year (1-6 and 7-12).

Tobacco publishes original research papers focused on all scientific and technological aspects of the tobacco plant, such as: seed and plant production, genetics, selection, seed control, chemistry, agrotechnics and tobacco economics. Also, it publishes articles in broader research area of agriculture and plant sciences. The articles are published in English with abstracts in English and Macedonian language.

Editorial Team and Reviewers evaluate relevance and scientific merit of manuscripts. Authors submitting manuscripts to Tobacco affirm that their work has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another journal. Proper citation and attribution of foreign ideas and images are required. Authors will be notified about the acceptance or rejection of the manuscripts. The editorial staff is not responsible for inaccurate citations, including the content of websites and copyright infringement.
